If you're looking for horse breaking,
ground manners, lunging techniques,
riding lessons, or just a simple tune-up
from a long winter break, Kunkel Farms
is the place.

Kunkel Farms' training program is built
from the ground, up. April Kunkel brings
her experience on training the horse
and rider. April has been involved in the
care and training of horses since she
was a young girl. Growing up on a horse
farm has given April the knowledge and
ability she needs to provide you with the
best and most informative training.

Kunkel Farms offers beginning basic
riding lessons up to advanced
disciplines for the horse and rider in
Western Pleasure, Western
Horsemanship, Hunt Seat and Trail
Riding. Instruction time focuses on
stable etiquette, horse behavior, proper
tack and grooming and care.

Because of April's love of horses, and
her many years of experience in
training, trail riding and showing, she
has been able to establish a farm that
gives children and adults the
opportunity to share in that love and
knowledge.

April Kunkel

April Kunkel has over 20 years of
experience handling horses.

April was raised on a family-owned
equine boarding and training facility in
Michigan. For many years she worked
side-by-side with her father at their
farm, focusing on proper training,
showing, trail riding, feeding and caring
for numerous horses.

April believes horses are like children:
they need exercise, guidance and
consistency in order to become safe
and productive.

With April's natural talent, valuable
knowledge, experience and dedication,
she decided to help others by founding
Kunkel Farms in Leslie, Michigan.
